Stop 2 of the 2021 USA BMX Pro Series tour took the Pro riders to Dothan, Alabama for the first time in over 30 years for a Pro event, The Circle City track is by far one of the most unique tracks with it cross over, giving the riders a new track to race on. With 35 of the worlds top Pro riders in attendance, the Circle City Nationals proved to be a great event for the Pros and the Chase team, as both Joris and Connor would make their was into the Day 1 main event.
Joris and Connor both rode strong and would meet up for the first time of Day 1 in the Main event. Joris would take the lead and never look back. Connor would have a rough go on Day 1 and finish 4th – Here is the Day 1 Main event:
On Saturday, the riders once again loaded up in the gate in Alabama continued to be some of the fastest riders on track. Joris and Connor would again both make the main event, with Joris being the dominant rider of the weekend with taking back to back wins, as he topped the Mens Pro class on Saturday. Connor would ride his way onto the podium with a 3rd place finish. View the Day 2 Main event here:
On Sunday, Connor would line up for the UCI Pro Points race at the Circle City National and would take the top spot for the day, capping off a great weekend for the Chase Pro team, winning all 3 days!
The riders next stop will be the USA BMX Pro series when it heads over to Rock Hill, SC at the end of March and they will race on the SuperCross / Olympic style Hill and track for the first time this season. Connor will also compete in the USA BMX National Championships on Sunday at the event.
