We refined a few areas of the original Chase frame to take the Chase RSP 2.0 to the next level.

The best frame in BMX just got a little bit better.

The RSP 2.0 features a refined newly shaped intergrated head tube that directs the brake cable routing through it. The brake cable runs through the head tube, alongside the steer tube, into the top tube and the cable exits in the rear of the Top Tube. This gives the frame and ultra smooth look while hiding the cable! The RSP 2.0 frames come with brake cable housing already threaded into the frame.

The RSP 2.0 also features a refined BB shell to not only help reduce weight, but offer the rider a stiffer design, that helps reduce flex and put more power to the rear wheel by increasing the surface area and adding strength to the chain stays. Another new feature on the 2.0 frame is the curved seat stay brace, again reducing weight and increasing stiffness slightly from the 1.0 frame. Its a small change, but its the attention to detail on the RSP 2.0 frame is what makes it the best Alloy Frame in BMX racing today.

Chase RSP BMX frames were designed to be the leader among the current options of Alloy BMX frames. Chase worked with our Manufacturing engineers to offer you the best of modern technology with using ultra light 7005 T4/T6 Heat treated Alloy, that features Hydro formed, tapered, oval and swedged tubing, double butted and triple butted tubes, CNC 3D 7mm dropouts, CNC intergrated head tubes, and beautiful & detailed ultra light water graphics applied under a clear coat.

The Chase RSP 2.0 frames main features are the proprietary to Chase, Hydroformed double butted top tube & triple butted down tube. The RSP 2.0 also features an integrated brake cable mounting system, with the cable entering the frame through the head tube. The RSP 2.0 chain & seat stays both utilize a special process: muscle forming to give a unique look not only giving added strength & stiffness, but it creates one of the lightest & stiffest BMX frames available today. Chase adds these incredible features while remaining true to the traditional look of BMX racing frames while adding cutting edge racing performance, pushing the evolution of the BMX race frame.

Other features include the Hydroformed or tear drop shaped tubing that is on the RSP 2.0 Frames are custom designed, radically shaped, & drawn aluminum alloy for weight savings and stiffness that help give optimal strength and rigidity to the frame. A new curved seat stay brace helps add a touch more stiffness, tire clearance, and also lightens up the frame. That along with the newly hour glass shaped BB, again, helps lighten up the RSP 2.0, as well as stiffen up the power transfer area of the frame.

The Hydroformed tubes have two main advantages :
First, the narrow axis is a flatter surface, which means more surface area to carry the load, so it is stiffer & stronger across the minor axis.
Secondly, the deeper axis is stiffer since the stiffness varies to the cube of the diameter, stronger to the square. When using an oval shaped tube on a typical BMX frame it helps reduce flex but only in one direction, but on the Chase RSP 2.0 frame, the tubes are oval in both directions in the main flex areas and these tubes help reduce flex in both main directions.

available in 3 color OPTIONs

We are also excited about the new design of the graphics, for a clean, factory look. Chase only uses an ultra hi tech process to utilize super thin decals under the clear coat, than not only keeps your frame looking better, but it also helps keep the weight of the all over graphics on the frame to a minimum. it may not seem like much, but when a race is decided by inches, the reduce weight is a key to victory!

TECHNOLOGIES

Chase Bicycles utilizes tapered tubing to offer you the most durable, yet light weight products, to help you achieve optimum results on the BMX race track. Our tapered items, use multiple thicknesses in the same tube, so the tube can be reinforced where needed with precision to help reduce stress areas where needed and lighten up the areas that don’t require extra materials. In aluminum the result are tube walls that eliminate stress points, boosting strength, reducing weight and improving fatigue life. The advantage is clear : Tapered tubes enhances strength and durability, at less weight.

Chase Bicycles utilizes the triple butting on our line of RSP frames. A triple-butted tube means it has three different wall thicknesses along its length. Chase uses this technology to reduce the amount of material used when building the RSP frame, decreasing its weight by 15% compared to last years frame tubes used to construct the frame. Lighter where it can be and stiffer where it needs to be means no excess weight on the bike that gives you an advantage with the frame and against the completion.

Chase Bicycles utilizes the CNC machining process to produce out 3D Modulus Dropout and small parts of RSP frames. Using the CNC process allows us to design parts that are specifically built to work the best with our proprietary frame tubes, giving us another way to control the overall weight and strength – flex factor on the frames, to give you, the best ride and feel from our frames. Precision machining enhances the beauty and craftsmanship ship of all frames offered from Chase.

While each rider is unique, Chase Bicycles has developed Bio Fit sizing for our frames to offer riders the ultimate size options for BMX racing. The sizing used for the Chase line has been carefully designed to give riders the optimum power output in the size range offered. Our commitment to details and offering many size options, gives you a custom fit BMX frame, that you can buy right at your local Chase BMX Dealer.

Born from some of the best alloys for building BMX race bikes, our special 7005-T6 SpeedLite alloy is the perfect blend for our Hydroforming process, giving the RSP frames the core strength needed to produce unmatched speed on the track, while keeping the overall weight of the frame down to a minimum.

BSA or more commonly know as a “Euro” Bottom Bracket refers to the tread in type of BB, using either a Internal or External Bottom Bracket with a 68 or 73mm BB shell with 1.370/1.375″ x 24 TPI threads and a left hand thread on the drive side cup. This is now considered to be a standard threaded bottom bracket shell or bottom bracket. We use the BSA Threaded BB on both the earlier RSP frames, where a PF or Press Fit BB, with no treads is used on our ACT Carbon Frame.

Chase Bicycles incorporates the Integrated headset system on all of our frames. Simply put, It is a bicycle frame, fork and bearing system designed to eliminate the need for a headset cup. To integrate means to combine and hopefully to simplify. What has been integrated by the integrated headset? The bearings now rest inside the frame instead of inside pressed-in cups, making it easier for headset installation, helping create less maintenance on your race bike, all while making the front end stiffer and the overall bike lighter.

The Chase race frames were all designed to be strong enough for BMX Pro level racing but also as light as possible. Usage of a Disc brake and disc brake adaptor was not in the original design of these frames, therefor, it is not recommended to use such a brake on the frame, due to the stress these type of brakes put on the frame and dropouts.
Any use of a disc brake adaptor on all sizes voids the warranty of the Chase RSP 2.0 frames, as this was not the intended purpose and only a V type brake is.
